Best Skin Firming Face Creams And Lotions ” What You Need to Know

By PHT Support

The search is still on for the best skin firming face creams and lotions, and despite the number of contestants that there are there is actually very little real competition. That is unless you are referring to skin firming products that are vying for the title of most useless skin care cream. There the competition is hot and heavy, because as Im sure that youve already realized that the vast majority of the products out there fall into this category.

As you have probably already noticed the vast majority of the products that the major cosmetics companies are proclaiming to be their best skin firming face leave a lot to be desired when it comes to the quality of their ingredients. The cosmetics companies dont seem to care whether or not these creams will help you with your skin care needs.

When you read all of the ingredients for a normal skin firming cream, you’ll probably discover that you have purchased collagen in a jar and some astringent. Astringent will temporarily tighten your skin and make you believe that the collagen is actually working for you, which in all likelihood it is not.

You should know that the collagen in the products isn’t actually going to help your skin. The collagen is actually too large to be absorbed through the skin, meaning that the belief that it can help you is actually false. Why would the cosmetic companies do this you ask? Simply because consumers didn’t like the same old products, so the companies created collagen products.

In order to find a skin firming cream that isn’t a bunch of media hype, make sure that the one you choose is high in keratin. Function Keratin is key in helping collagen to grow and will also help you to grow addition elastin which you wouldn’t be able to do very well as you grew older.

There is a company based in New Zealand which utilizes the benefits of Functional Keratin in their greatest skin firming creams. The products have an ingredient which increases the amount of hyaluronic acid in your skin. With all of this, you can be sure that you will have firm skin with absolutely no wrinkles.

If you want to get creams that actually work, the don’t use the major companies which create non-functional products. Use the ones from New Zealand because they have the best ingredients that will help your skin in the best way possible.

Best creams don’t have collagen, they just have the necessary creams that will help you to generate your own collagen. This is much better for making your skin as healthy as it possibly can be.

Why Skin Doctors Don’t Use Your Average Night Time Moisturizer

By PHT Support

by Dr. Grace Angel

No probably not but, night time creams and moisturizers have in the last few years exploded on the market purporting to be the new fountain of youth and many contain ingredients of dubious usefulness. While millions of dollars of product sells every year, many doctors believe that some products might not be worth price. “Some night creams are extremely pricey but do not deliver any bang for the buck,” says Dr. P.K. Farris, a Louisiana dermatologist.

Moisturizer Makers Often Exaggerate Effects

Producers hyperbolize the effects of their creams and moisturizers in order to sell, pandering to women’s self esteem issues and insecurities. Dr. L. Baumann, professor of dermatology in at a highly regarded university in Florida believes that, “Companies make all kinds of statements the skin and its night-time activities. They say that the skin does all sorts of special processes that it doesn’t do during the day. And this is just false. There’s no proof in much of what they say”.

Dermatologists Do Agree That Some Ingredients Have Proven Anti-Aging Effect

Some ingredients, however, do a great deal to help. Dr. Baumann suggests that some well-known compounds like retinol should be used at night because they are inactivated by sunlight. Many other dermatologist also agree that there it is extremely beneficial to use night time moisturizers that contain Peptides and Vitamin C, which boosts the production of collagen smoothing wrinkles and increasing skin firmness.

For the best results a quality night time moisturizer must contain the right ingredients in sufficient concentration. And the cream must penetrate the skin and be given enough time to work, “It’s sort of like if you need a blood transfusion and I’m just going to lay the blood across the top of your skin and say, good luck, let’s hope it gets where it needs to go”, so says Dr. Sandra Read, a Washington dermatologist. “It just won’t do any good” unless it penetrates and has time to work”.

The Bottom Line

Price does not necessarily indicate the quality of a night time moisturizer. Before you purchase though, look for those that contain proven anti-aging products like retinol, vitamin C, and peptides.

A resource that I recommend is http://www.nighttimemoisturizers.com. This site focuses exclusively on night creams and night time moisturizers. This online portal contains a wealth of information regarding the use and efficacy of night time moisturizers and research on the subject.

Do not succumb to the unwarranted claims and do not purchase products that don’t contain the right compounds in the proper concentrations. A good night time moisturizer will help soothe the skin, increase collagen production and fight the effects of aging.

Tell Me The Role Of Functional Keratin In Skin Care.

By PHT Support

by Peter Albertonach

If you’ve spent any time reading about skin health and skin care you’ll start reading about keratin pretty soon. What is it?

You can find keratin in our hair and nails and our skin, amongst others. It is a protein that is very strong.

It is produced in the epidermis of our skin by cells called keratinocytes, and these keratin cells slowly come to the surface of our skin where they form a protective layer of dead skin cells on the surface, and slowly slough off over time.

Keratin does some good things for our skin like providing some waterproofing qualities, but there are 2 functions in particular that are essential to skin health. Elasticity and strength and elasticity.

Both these are important for optimal skin health, and as our skin ages it starts to lose some of its ability to maintain its strength and elasticity and this is due in part to a reduction in keratin.

So you would assume that it’s good to use skin care products that contain keratin, but that’s wrong.

The reason is that the process used to produce the keratin found in mainstream skin care products is a process using heat and acid, and this “denaturalizes” the keratin into a form that is of no use to the skin.

So if that’s keratin what does functional keratin mean? Functional keratin is keratin that is not changed or denaturalized by the process of extracting it, and is still of use to the skin. It is produced without heat or acid from the wool of sheep.

One very small company has only very recently perfected this process and has patented it, and puts the functional keratin into a product called Cynergy TK that is used only in the very best skin care products available.

Studies on the results that use of Cynergy TK can produce have been impressive with visible results within a short time, a reduction in wrinkles and fine lines and an improvement in the complexion.

You can get skin care products that contain Cynergy TK. Cynergy TK is very expensive, but the products containing it aren’t any more expensive than the mainstream skin care products because the company that makes them doesn’t advertise so saves huge amounts of it’s budget, and puts this back into product quality.

Big brand skin care products are priced to cover the cost of all their advertising.

So theres some background on the role of keratin in the skin. And about what functional keratin is if you were wondering.

Visit my website to find out more or to find the worlds best skin care products that contain Cynergy TK.

Tips to care for your skin and prevent acne

By PHT Support

by Ema

There is a misconception that acne is the result of poor hygiene but that is not true at all. One can wash and clean their face all the time but can still be afflicted with acne problems. Acne is a very complicated condition that do not involve skin hygiene but different factors such as your hormones and your skin condition.

There is really a simple way to prevent the onset of acne problems and you will need to take these skin care steps every day for your whole life. Don’t just wash your face with soap because that is probably the worse you could do to your skin. The skin on your face is very sensitive and needs to be cared for using mild and gentle cleansers. Soap will be very harsh on your skin and could make your skin condition worse.

One of the first things to do is for you to buy a complete set of skin care product. It is advisable to get hypoallergenic and non-comedogenic products that are good for acne prone skin as these won’t further irritate your sensitive skin. These skin care products will be able to clear up your skin, keep it clean, take care of it, nourish it and prevent more acne from surfacing. Time to stock up on these now.

A complete set makes up a cleanser, a toner, a moisturizer and an acne treatment cream. First is the cleanser that is responsible for clearing off the dirt from your face. You will need to identify your skin type, whether it is oily or dry, before getting the suitable cleanser so that it won’t cause your skin to be too oily or too dry after use.

Next, we have the toner. Now, toner is to tighten your pores after you clean your skin using the cleanser. It is great to reduce enlarged pores and it also prepares your skin for the nutrients of the moisturizer. Again, just like the cleanser, you will need to choose the right type of toner and moisturizer according to your skin type. This is to ensure that the toner and moisturizer do not unnecessarily irritate your skin.

You see, moisturizer is meant to replenish your skin with moisture so that it won’t become oily and produce excess sebum which could result in acne and blemishes. Also, a lot of moisturizer now comes with anti-acne ingredients which further protect your skin from outbreaks. Finally, we have the acne treatment cream. This cream, best to get benzoyl peroxide, is good to zap the acne and help it heal faster. Once you do these skin care steps every morning and evening, you will find that you have smooth blemish-free skin one day!

Caring For Sensitive Skin

By PHT Support

by Rachel Bonnano Tiffany Redman

The right sensitive skin care routine begins with the right products, and to find the right products, you must first determine the degree of your skin sensitivity. Are you unable to tolerate wool, latex or other materials/ if so, then you have what is known as truly sensitive skin. If you blush, itch, and sunburn easily, then you are probably naturally fair-skinned. Some people are both fair skinned and have sensitive skin, while still others experience skin problems related to food allergies and/or stress.

Natural skin care products containing herbal ingredients such as aloe vera and jojoba oil are generally recommended for people with very sensitive skin. It is also important to drink plenty of water and pay attention to food sensitivities that many trigger break outs. When shopping for natural skin care products, pay attention to labels that say things like non comedogenic, and all natural ingredients. Artificial ingredients can trigger skin flare ups, so it is important to be careful when choosing products.

Developing a skin care routine is an important way to protect your sensitive skin. Choose products that are astringent free and designed for sensitive skin and which contain natural ingredients whenever possible. A good skin care regimen includes cleansing, exfoliating, toning, and moisturizing. It is important to cleanse everyday, washing your face with warm water to remove dirt, makeup, and other impurities. Depending on your skin type, it isn’t necessary to repeat the four other steps each day, but you should plan on exfoliating once a week and using an astringent free toner and a moisturizer containing sunscreen one to three times per week.

Sensitive skin care depends on the right skin care products, so make sure to pay close attention to ingredients and labels when choosing them. This is the best way to make sure that your skin stays healthy and radiant.
