Want To Grow Taller? Do These Hanging Exercises

By PHT Support

by Rodney Williams

Exercising keeps your body fit so that you can increase your height. There are thousands of different types of workouts. Therefore it is important that you know which exercises will give you the best results. Focusing on exercises that lengthen your bones is most effective, but you must strengthen your muscles to support this new growth.

Hanging exercises are a fantastic follow up to a high-impact workout. High-impact exercises tend to cause micro-fractures in your bones that are painless and heal quickly. Hanging exercises capitalize on these breaks by keeping the bones in an extended position. When the bones are healed in this lengthened position you will increase your height. Hanging also stretches out your spine and makes the cartilage expand and heal into this new length. It is not uncommon to have results of one to two inches just by performing hanging exercises as a follow up to high-impact activity. If you add ankle weights to your routine you will even further optimize your workout. Here are the descriptions of three fantastic ways to reach your height goals by hanging.

1) The Bar Hang- This simple exercise will help stretch your spine so that you can gain height. You will want to begin by hanging vertically from the bar for as long as possible without your feet touching the ground. Take a break and put on ankle weights. Grab the bar so that your thumbs are touching and your palms are facing away from you. Hang as straight as possible, unless the bar is too low and then bend your knees to keep your feet off the ground. Position your head so that your ears touch each arm and squeeze you shoulder blades together.

You will want to make sure you gradually begin this exercise. Try hanging for only ten seconds at first and then break for ten seconds, repeating this process for five to ten minutes. Your strength will improve and you will soon be able to hang for twenty seconds with a fifteen second break.

2) Hanging Knee-Ups- This exercise is a little more strenuous than the last exercise. However, it not only stretches your spine and leg bones, it also strengthens your arms, shoulders, and wrists. To begin, hold the bar with your hands almost touching, but your palms facing you. Extend your arms and body to its fullest. Exhale and then slowly bring your knees to your chest. Do this slowly and continually, without swinging your body for momentum. After a count of two you should inhale and slowly bring your knees down. Continue doing this exercise as many times as you for one minute. Then, rest for twenty to thirty seconds and repeat for at least three cycles.

3) The Hanging Twist- Your body’s momentum is the driving force behind this great technique to increase height. Begin by holding the bar with your hands barely apart and your palms facing away from you. Twist your body from side to side, using your legs to create momentum. Make sure that you make gentle and controlled movement. Also, keep your head stationary.

You should continue this exercise for at least one minute. Then you should break for twenty to thirty seconds. Repeat the exercise until you have completed four cycles. As your strength increases, you will be able to control your movement more and add additional cycles to your routine.

There are many benefits to hanging exercises. Hanging from a horizontal bar, especially while wearing ankle weights, is an excellent way to strengthen and tone your body. However, if you are want to see your body growing taller and taller, then hanging exercises is a must.

Testosterone Foods- Increase Testosterone with Foods

By PHT Support

by B Smith

Testosterone is the principle male hormone and controls a wide range of vital body functions. It is the hormone behind your hard muscles, strength and height factors. However, the production of this hormone begins declining after the age of thirty which often leads to a whole lot of changes in your body.

Though Testosterone therapy can be helpful in restoring testosterone levels,a more natural and safe way is to try and increase testosterone production with the help of some foods.

Foods that can increase testosterone secretion are rich in zinc. One of the best example of such foods is oysters.

Oysters are rich in zinc and for long have been used to enhance libido. However, oysters are feed at the bottom of the sea which is getting more and more polluted. In such a case, animal protein appears to be a better solution.

Zinc from animal protein is most readily accepted and absorbed by the human body. This gives you another reason to treat yourself lavishly with steak.

Apart form red meat. foods that can help increase testosterone production include poultry. Chicken wings, breasts and thighs are all abundant in zinc. Turkey, goose and duck can also give a boost to your testosterone levels.

Besides animal protein, beans, nuts and dairy products can also be highly effective.

Besides there are highly effective supplements that comprise of potent herbs and other ingredients that can also enhance you testosterone secretion.

A Man’s Introduction To Their Prostate

By PHT Support

Men are so fickle about their own genital area including their prostate. Their sexual organs are such a matter of pride to them, they tend to neglect any health concerns that may arise. I am over fifty years old now, and although I am considered healthy, I still have concerns about possible prostate problems in the future.

For one thing, when a problem does happen, it can not only be a nuisance but also be quite painful. I have a few friends who have had problems with their prostate and it is only when they feel discomfort that they talk about it. Men seem to wait until the pain is unbearable before they do something about it. Prostate problem prevention just does not seem to be in their vocabulary.

Try this yourself. Talk to your dad, uncle or other older gentleman – no, not your aunt  : ) LOL – and ask them about their prostate. They will either feel embarrassed, or you will. But if they are already in some kind of discomfort, they will not be able to stop talking about it. If they do talk about, the issues they tell you will be similar to other common prostate problems that plague the human male.

So what is the prostate anyway?

Don’t get confused. Some people actually think that the prostate is the scrotum – (your balls). Don’t laugh. It’s true. Remember that most men do not like to talk about their “sexual organs”, so why would they even know anything about it. The only they care about is that they are able to get an erection. As long as they can piss and get an erection they don’t care about anything else.

You cannot see your prostate. Your prostate is a walnut sized internal gland located within the lower abdominal cavity. A normal sized prostate weighing about one ounce, it is found beneath the bladder behind the pubic bone and in front of the rectum. You can find an animation to see the location of the prostate gland here . Running through the prostate is the urethra which is a channel that transports your urine from the bladder to your penis.

What kind of prostate problems should I be aware of?

The scariest problem that men could have regarding their prostate is the possibility of contracting prostate cancer. Just as breast cancer is very common among women, prostate cancer is so with men. Statistics are now telling us that the prevalence of prostate cancer is starting to decrease somewhat. More on this will be discussed in future articles.

– Enlarged Prostate

Another problem men should be aware of is if their prostate becomes enlarged. If enlarged, it is known as “benign prostatic hypertrophy”. BPH may cause you to feel a burning sensation or possibly even difficulty urinating. These difficulties could manifest themselves during the night when you feel like constantly going to the bathroom. Urination may also be intermittent. You may even feel like you want to pee but nothing comes out. If you can pee, you may even see a tiny amount of blood in your urine also.

(This picture shows a prostate that has a large median lobe bulging upwards. A metal instrument is placed within the urethra which passes through the prostate. This specimen was almost 7 centimeters long)

If any of these symptoms seem familiar, you should see your doctor and have him refer you to a urologist and get checked out. Do not make the mistake of getting checked out and then not do anything about it anyways. Future problems may develop. Get it “nicked in the bud” so to speak.

There are treatments available and should not be ignored or avoided. If your prostate problem is severe enough you may even need to undergo surgery, so the sooner you get checked out the healthier you will stay. Repercussions can lead to possible infections of the kidney or bladder if the enlarged prostate has a blockage of some sort.

– Prostate Cancer

Prostate cancer and benign prostatic hypertrophy are very different from each other.

  • BPH is a natural part of the aging process which can be treated by qualified doctors.
  • Prostate cancer is a painful condition where the cells within the prostate multiply out of control. If tumors develop, they could spread to other parts of your body.

Although prostate cancer is more prevalent in Black American men than in other cultures, the incidence of it seems to be on a decline. The key is in early detection and diagnosis. Survival of prostate cancer is very high with today’s treatments, but is dependant on you actually seeing your doctor.

Men’s Common Health Issues To Be Aware Of

By PHT Support

I can speak from experience that women are more likely to see a doctor for a routine medical check-up than men are.  It is just a well known fact.  It may even be because of fear.  Men, in general, do not like to be told they are unhealthy.  Understandable since more men still smoke than women.

But if we men could get brave enough to actually visit their physician, there are certain common men’s health problems that can be treated if caught early enough.  On the other hand, these problems can up being permanently debilitating or possibly fatal if not detected in time.  By the time the symptoms  become noticeable enough, it may be too late.

The most common health problem among men, of course, is heart disease.

My family is susceptible to it.  My brother had quadruple bypass surgery when he was only 45 years old.  Only 2 days ago (Jan. 31, 2008), he had a stroke.  It’s still too early as these first seven days are critical, but his left side is paralyzed, although he is able to move is left foot a little.

Two other health issues men need to concern themselves with are problems dealing with the prostrate and hypertension.  Even though hypertension is prevalent in a few of my friends and relatives, I actually have no acquaintances with prostrate problems – (lucky me).

The important thing to remember is that even though these three health issues may be “silent killers”, they can be readily treatable if you just go to see your doctor and get yourself checked out.

Between heart disease, prostate and hypertension problems, heart disease is the most common killer among men in America and Canada.  This is now also true of women as well.  In the United States alone, there are over well over 60 million people living with cardiovascular disease.  This number can be reduced dramatically if men could eat less high fat diets like fast food and exercise more often.

This can lead to high cholesterol levels which can end up blocking the arteries.  This can lead to possible blood clots in other parts of the body or even cause heart muscle failure.  A blood clot can also make its way to the heart causing a heart attack.

Heart attacks are a painful experience to go through, if you live through it that is.  However, if you do have heart disease and it is detected early enough, treatments are available to help you continue on with a long life.  Sure, you may have to make some lifestyle changes, but change is good for you if it is helpful.  When it comes to cardiovascular disease, the first line of defense is prevention.  If this doesn’t work, it’s time for heart treatments.

These treatments could be rather drastic if the damage is severe.  You may need heart surgery and drugs.  Along with prescribing medication for heart disease, your doctor may subscribe an approved program of diet and exercise.  So, even with heart disease, men can still live a long, full and fruitful life.

The Prostrate:

According to the American Cancer Society (ACS) 186,320 new cases of prostate cancer will occur in 2008.  Their site is at www.ACS.org and the link to download their cancer statistics is at  www.Cancer.org.

Prostate cancer is diagnosed in men more than any other cancer.  For reasons not yet clear, African American men seem to have this type of cancer more than twice as much as in white men.  According to the ACS PDF document Prostate cancer rose rapidly between 1988 to 1992, but then declined sharply during the next three years and then leveling off since
1995.

Although we are starting to live longer, the impact of prostate cancer is still prevalent.  The good part is that it is easily treated if detected early enough during the disease’s progression.   If you are over the age of forty, an annual prostate checkup should be mandatory.  The bad part is that progression of prostate cancer is pretty slow, so people can live with this disease for years without experiencing any symptoms at all.

Prostate Cancer Symptoms may include:

1. Increase in urination frequency especially during the night.
2. Difficulty to urinate with possibility of painful or burning sensations
3. Painful ejaculation
4. Blood in urine or semen
5. Pain or stiffness in the back, hips, or upper thighs

Hypertension:

Hypertension or high blood pressure, is often called “the silent killer” because it is usually asymptomatic until a heart attack or stroke occurs.  Along with your regualar checkup and prostate checkup, you should also make sure your blood pressure is within normal ranges for your age.  High blood pressure can affect us no matter what age we are.  Hypertension can be easily treated by medication and changes in lifestyle if caught early enough.
