All of us would like to have beautiful skin. When we notice someone with perfect skin we can’t help but admire them. We wonder is it in their genetics or do they use some special cream or magic pill. However, the fact is that those who have beautiful skin also have a quality skincare routine that they perform on a daily basis. It is the same principle of having a good figure; you must eat right and get regular exercise.
A great physique is not achieved quickly; it takes months and years of consistent effort. A great skincare routine is the same, you may not have started with beautiful skin but by caring for your skin on a regular basis you can have the best skin possible.
However, a formula for great skincare is more than washing and moisturizing your skin, and even thought these are important, the real recipe for quality skin starts from within. The way that you take care of yourself and what you eat and drink will show in the healthiness of your skin. No type of skincare routine will help if you have a poor diet and no type will give you the results of eating right and getting regular exercise.
You skin requires vitamins and amino acids in order to be healthy and look its best. It is possible to use topical products to supply the skin with nutrients, however the skin can absorb these nutrients better through the bloodstream or from within the body instead of topically. Nourishing the skin at the surface is recommended but nourishing your body from the inside out is required not only for great skin but for overall health as well.
Moisture that comes from natural hydration in the body is also much better than moisture from a skincare product we put on our face. Natural hydration from water is much easier for the skin to absorb and to use properly; moisturizers also have a tendency to evaporate or get rubbed away before they can really penetrate the skin.
This should not be interpreted to mean that skincare products are worthless or not worth the money since a quality moisturizer should be a necessary item in all skincare regimes. The skin does benefit from these products by adding a level of moisture and forming a level of protection against pollutants like dirt and other elements that irritate the skin.
However, quality skincare is similar to a flower garden. If you water and fertilize your garden you will help the flowers grow. However, the overall root system of the flower garden will determine whether or not it will be healthy. A really vibrant root system in good soil will mean high quality flowers. On the other hand, weak roots in poor soil may not produce any flowers at all.
Skincare is the same; the overall health of your body from within will produce the most beautiful skin. It is important to remember that proper diet, regular exercise, and drinking plenty of water will help give you the healthiest skin possible.
