The Sanyo model is the DR 7700 in the Omega model is the Montage Premier massage chair. Both of these manufacturers produce high-quality massage chairs and have national distribution. They also have many different features, so selecting between the Sanyo massage chair and the Omega massage chair can be quite a decision.
The fit of the massage chair is always important. When you sit down in both chairs, you will notice some slight differences. The Sanyo seems for me to be somewhat on the small side for a high-end chair. The Omega Montage Premier on the other hand seemed to envelop me when seated. It just seemed to feel plusher than the Sanyo. The Omega certainly could fit taller people much better than the Sanyo could.
One of the amazing new features found only in the Sanyo DR 7700 massage chair is a physical shape sensor. The physical shape sensor determines the shape of your body as seated in the chair. If you move during the course of the massage, then the physical shape sensor will pick that up and redirect the massage based on your new position in the chair.
Omega massage also equips its Montage Premier with a back scanning capability. The back scan will be activated when an automatic massage is turned on. The body scan commences to find the neck and shoulders and other important locations for the massage. This information is inputted into the computer and used to deliver a customized massage.
The Sanyo DR 7700 massage chair also has a stiffness detection system. A mouse like device is used to read certain stress signals area it records your pulse rate and perspiration. The mouse must be held during the massage to take the reading. The stiffness detection system works with the LCD to point out the areas detected.
Omega provides five automatic massage programs. Each of these programs is based on a particular theme. These automatic programs provide invigorating and effective massage therapy. The Montage Premier massage chair provides for deep tissue penetration and relief.
The Sanyo DR 7700 massage chair comes with four automatic massage programs. Each of these automatic programs runs the full massage chair. Each massage course is approximately 15 minutes. The massage courses range from shiatsu to gentle tapping. The massages are soothing but seemed to lack a bit in penetration.
If you compare the Sanyo and the Omega side by side, you’ll notice a few things right away. One is that Sanyo tends to add more devices that do sensing, like the stiffness detection system. Omega, on the other hand, integrates features that have therapeutic value. Omega integrates full body heat into the chair and also an MP3 player for relaxation of your mind.
The Montage Premier comes with lower body traction for stretching and relieving the legs and lower back. The Sanyo DR 7700 offers the zero gravity position. This position is to help take the most pressure off of the spine. Although, we liked the zero gravity position, I did not find I enjoyed the massage in the same position.
The Montage Premier also has and MP3 music player with headphones. This provides a relaxing environment which dramatically increases the effectiveness of the massage. One cannot underestimate the impact of relaxing your mind during a massage. If your mind is under stress come in it will hold tension over the body. The mind needs to relax and release this tension. This will ensure that the massage better penetrates the muscles.
In comparing the Sanyo DR 7700 to the Omega Montage Premier, we find that the Montage Premier massage chair provides superior effective massage therapy. The Sanyo massage chair has some interesting technological features, but we feel that the therapeutic features of the Montage Premier provide a more comprehensive massage treatment.
