Best Weight Loss Supplement For Those Who Eat Lots of Junk Food

by Deen Dragonovich

The majority of weight loss supplements on the market today work basically one of two ways. They either control your appetite or work through a process called thermogenesis (fat burning).

Green tea is probably the most popular fat burner at the moment. Its popularity lies not only in weight loss, but as a powerful anti-oxidant as well. Many Asian countries have been drinking it for centuries. Scientific studies seem to back its claims.

Hoodia on the other hand carries the torch for appetite suppressants. It originates in Southwestern Africa, but has only been marketed as a weight loss supplement for a few years. Unfortunately the jury is still out on its effectiveness. This is probably caused by the varying quality of this product from company to company.

Although most weight loss supplements work fairly well, they may have all missed the boat as to what really causes people to get fat. Studies over the last 30 years show that fructose may be the real cause of obesity in America. Here is a quote from the American Journal of Clinical Nutrition:

evidence that a marked increase in the use of HFCS, and therefore in total fructose consumption, preceded the obesity epidemic and may be an important contributor to this epidemic in the United States.

Todays demanding lifestyle and two income households leave little time for cooking. And with fast food restaurants, doughnut and coffee shops at every street corner, its easy to see why HFCS have become a staple in American diets.

Even supermarkets arent safe from HFCS. Most packaged, boxed and canned foods, not to mention sodas, now contain HFCS instead of sugar. Its no wonder Americans are getting fatter and fatter.

Fortunately there has been a recent discovery of a new all-natural compound that seems to be able to block the conversion of fructose to fat. This new compound from the roots of Scutellaria baicalensis is commonly referred to as Chinese skullcap and Heatwood of Acacia catechu.

This natural compound has the ability to decrease two key obesity markers in the blood stream that are found in high levels in the chronically obese

It essentially inhibits fructose from converting into fat, thereby decreasing these two obesity markers and fructose no longer gets a free ride to your waistline.

This all-natural weight loss supplement shows great promise and may very well hold the key to the obesity epidemic. At the very least, its a step in the right direction.

If your live style requires you to eat out a lot, or if you just eat a lot of sweets, you may want to give this new weight loss supplement a try.

    Hi Joan,

I’m happy with you losing 30 pounds a month which is 1 pound per day. Don’t you think this is a little too much. Losing weight is one thing, being healthy is another. This blog is not only about learning how to lose weight, but to stay healthy while doing so.

The other thing you need to watch for is that losing weight is one thing, keeping it off is another. There’s “weight loss” and “weight maintenance”. If you have ever seen all those “Biggest Loser” shows on television, you should know that most of the contestants actually gain a certain amount of weight back.

You need to find out how you plan to maintain your weight once you get there. This can actually be tougher than losing the weight in the first place.

Losing and maintaining a “HEALTHY” amount of weight loss means to not only make a plan and taking action on that plan, but also to do it continuously.

Maybe I’m wrong but I think you should set a goal of only losing about 1/2 pound per day or 15 pounds per month. Joan, that equates to 90 pounds in 6 months.

Because you have 6 months to lose the weight, you will have used this time to form GOOD HABITS while expunging all your bad habits. This may make it easier to maintain your weight loss for a longer term.

Again Joan, good luck with losing your weight. Just don’t be too hard on yourself.
