Imagine what a better place this world would be if everyone could just be on a <strong>vegetable diet</strong>. A lot of the illnesses on this earth would not even exist, and people would not have as many weight issues. I think the time has come for you to think more seriously about it.</p>
<p>I don&#8217;t know anyone on this earth who does not need a vegetable diet. Perhaps not all of the time, but on occasion, we could all use the health trip. When you can carry yourself better, improve the immunity of your system against antigens and bacteria; when your heart can beat so much better and stronger, you will agree with me that the vegetable diet was a long time coming, but it was totally worth it.</p>
<p>Without a vegetable diet say, ones in a year at least, you could be setting yourself up for some serious illness. Seriously, there are just too many toxins in all that red meat you are eating. You might want to consider something a little bit safer, and the vegetable diet is just it. It is simple and complete, and it will bring you back to health faster than you can blink.</p>
<p>On occasion, you need to detox. You could have been piling up all kinds of toxins in your body for years; the detox is how you get your body to cleanse itself. It is most possible with a vegetable diet, the type that you regulate to have all the mineral ingredients that are necessary for your heath. Even you can afford to retain a dietitian that can help you with that.</p>
<p>A vegetable diet comprises only of fruit and vegetables. The minerals you get from those are vitamins like you could never have gotten from any other food. Parsley brings back memories back to when I was just a kid watching as my Mom baked in her kitchen. I still miss watching her as she put in all those ingredients that always resulted in a most delicious meal.</p>
<p>Unless she was making dessert, one of Mom&#8217;s favorite ingredients was parsley. Did you know that Parsley is the <a rel="nofollow" href="http://www.whfoods.com/genpage.php?tname=foodspice&amp;dbid=100" target="_blank">worlds most popular herb</a>. I can understand it. Although parsley has a strong vibrant tangy taste, I think it is quite delicious but I think there will always be those who disagree. Chances are really really good that most of them treat parsley as a side garnish. Go to a restaurant and order a meal. The odds favor that the dish will also contain a little sprig of parsley.</p>
<p>But there&#8217;s method to the chef&#8217;s madness. Parsley helps to settle the stomach, improve your appetite (<em>so you eat and spend more money</em>), and to help improve digestion of your food so you can  absorb more of its nutrients. Oh yeah, it also doubles as a breath freshener. Did I mention that I think it&#8217;s also delicious, healthy and nice to look at?</p>

Building iron levels up becomes important for those suffering from anemia.</p>

<p>The research surrounding vitamin D is expanding day by day, and recently the American Academy of Dermatology has updated their recommendations to caution the public not to not getting sufficient vitamin D. Vitamin D insufficiency is where you do not have the optimal amount of vitamin D circulating in your body, but are not identifiably deficient in the nutrient. In reference to their new guidelines, the American Academy of Dermatology&#8217;s new guidance is as follows:</p>
<p>&#8220;The vitamin D position statement supports the Academy&#8217;s long-held conviction on safe ways to get this important vitamin &#8211; through a healthy diet which incorporates foods naturally rich in vitamin D, vitamin D-fortified foods and beverages, and vitamin D supplements,&#8221; said David Pariser, president of the American Academy of Dermatology.</p>
<p>&#8220;The updated recommendation for individuals who practice daily sun protection acknowledges that while protecting the skin from the damaging rays of the sun is important, so is maintaining adequate vitamin D levels. Concern about vitamin D should not lead people to forego sun protection, but rather prompt a conversation with their physician about how to ensure adequate and safe vitamin D intake while guarding against skin cancer.&#8221;</p>
<p>Does this alter the guidance on vitamin D and pregnancy? Not specifically. You should still get acceptable sun exposure to manufacture the vitamin and attain the rest through a healthy and balanced diet. Supplementation may help as well.</p>

<p>There are literally scores of people who want to lose weight as quickly as possible and of course, also as safely as possible. However, you need to bear in mind that research has shown that in order to lose weight and keep it off, you should ideally lose no more than one to two pounds of fat per week. </p>
<p>The biggest downfall for people striving to burn fat is that they see it as being something they only need to do once, when in fact they should be considering a complete change of lifestyle. </p>
<p>Essentially, most all fat loss programs which aim for permanent weight loss are based upon the very same basic principle. Generally speaking, such plans focus on reducing calorie intake in order to create a calorie deficit. What many people seem to be unaware of, is that one pound of fat is equivalent to 3,500 calories. </p>
<p>So to lose 1-2 pounds per week you would need to consume 500-1000 fewer calories than you currently take in &#8211; assuming that your weight has stabilized. </p>
<p>On the other hand, you can also choose to increase the amount of physical activity you&#8217;re engaged in order to increase the number of calories your body burns each day. Irrespective of whether you choose to consume fewer calories or whether you decide to increase to the amount of exercise you do, both will result in immediate weight loss. </p>
<p>Unfortunately, these are both simplistic approaches to fat loss that don&#8217;t take into account other factors like bio-individuality, hormone production, and more. </p>
<p>However, if you&#8217;re eager to shed fat has quickly as possible then both of these approaches which have been mentioned will allow you to see results, and what&#8217;s more, the results will be long lasting. </p>
<p>Of course, in order for the results to be permanent, it&#8217;s crucial that you acknowledge the fact that it requires a change of lifestyle rather than a one time effort. </p>
<p>Those people who have made noticeable changes to their lifestyle by including exercise in the daily routines, are in fact the ones who are most successful regarding fat loss. <p>The scientific name of Noni is morinda citrifolia and more commonly as <strong>Tahitian noni</strong>, beach mulberry, Indian mulberry, or great morinda, among others. The tree on which the Noni fruit grows is native to Southeast Asia, but has been spread extensively through Pacific Islands.</p>
<p>The plant produces fruit all year. The fruit starts out green, but matures to a yellow or almost white color. The pungent odor of the ripened fruit gives rise to the less than appealing name such as &#8220;cheese fruit&#8221;. The Noni is a hardy plant capable of growing in a wide variety of habitats.</p>
<p>Recently an overzealous promotion has led to a similar range of claims. <p>Many foods are packaged with accompanying nutritional information written on the packaging. It may be read and taken at face value. However many factors determine your true gains of nutrients.</p>
<p>Recognize that farming conditions can alter a plants level of nutrients! A seasons harvest can have different nutritional levels to another seasons harvest. While we receive our nutrients from plants or other foods, all foods receive their nutrients from the soil or sea; which receive their nutrients from rocks. There is more to a rock or stone than meets the eye, as these hold nutrients! By the processes of erosion there is minute chipping away to permit release of nutrients. The released nutrients can then be taken up by the surrounding sea or ground.</p>
<p>Any garden is improved by the presence of stones. Constant planting and taking from the ground does deplete our soils. To compensate we need to give back. A plant to be packaged or taken to any store can not demand to have a certain level of nutrients, as the packet or box said it will have it! Plants only take what is available.</p>
<p>Climates affect plants and when growing in different climates the same type of plants have different nutrient content. Needs alter according to where we live and the climate affects nutritional needs. Note when you read the nutritional information of two similar foods, as information on various brands can be provided by different sources. On any day if we all ate exactly the same level of nutrients, our absorption tends to differ. Stress tends to lower rates of nutrient absorption and retention of nutrients.</p>
<p>Anyone may consult with a relevant health professional to asses whether or not they are receiving levels of nutrients to match their needs. True, nutritional charts are extremely beneficial and essential to work out how to help anyone to be healthy! What we should realize is that we can not bet on that fixed numerical number and our bodies do not absorb the same percentage always. Generally we absorb more if we need it, but sometimes other factors disrupt this; such as alcoholism, certain drugs and digestive-related disruptions.</p>
<p>Nutritional guidelines can sway choices along a healthy way. Do not worry about the extra calorie to the detriment of better mineral levels in foods. Watch of calorie content should not accompany dismissal of the levels of minerals and vitamins. Use whole foods to be on a more nutritious path to lead to health. Indeed a little of nutritious fatty nuts may support some people to lose weight, as we need minerals and vitamins to actually burn calories. We will always need minerals and vitamins; have a balanced view and intake of nutrients.</p>

<p><strong>Day 1:</strong> &#8211; Fruit; consist of cabbage soup, fruits (except banana), protein shake, fat burner drink, and water with lemon or herbal.</p>

<p><strong>The recipe ingredients of the soup itself usually consist of </strong></p>

<li>peppers</li>
<li>onions</li>
<li>tomatoes</li>
<li>preferred seasonings</li>

<p>The program also forbid alcohol, bread, and carbonated beverages.</p>
<p>Despite the fact that the diet is centered around cabbage soup there isn&#8217;t any evidence to suggest that cabbage burns more fat than any other vegetable.  The real reason people lose weight on this diet is due to the extremely low daily calorie intake &#8211; between 800-1,000 calories.   The soup is just the &#8216;main course&#8217; and the diet would probably work the same way with many other types of vegetable soups as the center piece.</p>
<p><strong>Pros</strong></p>
<ol>
<li>Fast weight loss; the dieter can expect to lose 10 to 15 pounds at the end of the program.</li>
<li>Doesn&#8217;t cost much; all the ingredients for this diet are easily found and inexpensive to buy.</li>
<li>Simple; you don&#8217;t have to exercise or change anything else, just eat what&#8217;s listed on the diet plan for only 7 days.</li>
<li>Encourage the dieter to eat more fruit and vegetables.</li>
</ol>
<p><strong>Cons</strong></p>
<ol>
<li>The  extremely low daily calorie of this diet is not a healthy way to lose weight.  There is a very small percentage of protein in the diet plan which can actually hurt you due to the lack of proper nutrition.  Most people should get at least 1200 calories a day, unless specifically told otherwise by their doctor.</li>
<li>The diet is quite bland and boring and many people may choose not to eat it after a few days which would make there caloric intake even lower.</li>
<li>High levels of sodium or MSG contained in the soup recipe could lead to  long term health issues.</li>
<li>There is theory that the weight loss mainly comes from fluid or muscle mass, not fat loss, which will return once the dieter back to the normal eating behaviors.</li>
<li>Most cabbage soup recipes are very bland and dieters have reported feeling ill just by the smell of this bland soup after their 7 day diet is over.</li>
<li>Causes gas.</li>
<li>If you eat out  it&#8217;s tough to follow the meal plan in a restaurant.</li>
</ol>
<p>As with everything the field of weight loss is constantly changing as new techniques are explored.  Today most people know that starving themselves is not the way to achieve a permanent  weight loss and healthy body.</p>
<p>But we all know that the idea of a quick fix can be very appealing so if you think you have to give the cabbage soup diet a try, keep these things in mind:</p>
<ol>
<li>This diet is for adult, it is not suitable for children and adolescents.</li>
<li>This diet is only intended for 7 days.  Don&#8217;t stay on it for longer than that.</li>
<li>Talk to your doctor about any health concerns.</li>
<li>During the diet, keep remind yourself that the program only last for seven days and it will result on significant weight loss.</li>
<li>Drink at least 5 glass of water per day.</li>
<li>Try different variety of spices and seasoning to minimize boredom from eating cabbage soup continuously.</li>
<li>No matter how bored you get with the soup, don&#8217;t skip meals.  You aren&#8217;t taking in very many calories as it is, you can&#8217;t afford to lower your caloric intake any more.</li>
<li>You should probably stay home during your diet.  Not only will you feel weak due to your low calorie intake, but you don&#8217;t want to have a problem with gas while standing in the line at the grocery store!</li>
<li>Take your vitamins (and minerals) you have to make sure your body is getting all the nutrients it needs to stay healthy.</li>
<li>Keep track of your progress by using a daily journal.</li>
<li>Make sure to keep careful track of what foods you are supposed to eat each day.</li>
<li>Keep steady supply of the ingredients, fruits, and vegetables in your refrigerator.</li>
<li>Don&#8217;t skip your protein shakes.  It&#8217;s important to maintain your protein levels throughout the diet.</li>
</ol>
<p>The bottom line is keeping yourself healthy and stay focused during the entire process, you will gain significant weight loss at the end of the program.</p>

If you want to lose weight, you&#8217;ll probably need to cut the amount of fat in your diet. Do not, however, make the mistake of cutting all of the fat in your diet. Some foods will help you burn fat. Let&#8217;s examine what foods will give you the fat you need in your diet and why no-fat diets fail.</p>
<p>The number one reason that extreme no-fat and low fat diets fail is that people mistake low fat with healthy. Just because a snack is low in fat doesn&#8217;t mean that it is good for you.</p>
<p>Processed foods contain empty calories and sugars that will cause you to gain weight. <strong>Focus on eating whole foods like fruits, vegetables, and grains</strong>. These foods will give your body the nutrition it needs without the high levels of sugar and salt found in crackers and cookies.</p>
<p>If you are cutting down severely on fats and calories, you&#8217;re body will react by going into starvation mode. Instead of burning the fat, your body&#8217;s metabolism will slow down and it will work to store the fat that it has available. The only way you can lose fat is to feed the body what it needs.</p>
<p>You&#8217;ve heard before that not all fats are equal. Saturated fat can lead to heart disease and should be largely avoided. Meat and cheese is full of the fats that you don&#8217;t want in your diet. So cut down on your intake of these foods and focus on the foods that provide the essential fatty acids.</p>
<p><strong>One food that is great to incorporate into your diet is the avocado</strong>. The fat in the avocado is made up primarily of mono-unsaturated fats. In addition to the healthy fats of the avocado, you are getting other nutritional benefits such as vitamins A, B, and E. Avocado&#8217;s will give your body the energy it needs during your muscle building routines. And they&#8217;re great for your immune system, skin, and hair.</p>
<p><strong>Flax is another great food</strong>. Flax seed oil contains both Omega 3 and Omega 6. There are several ways you can add flax seed oil to your diet. You can also buy flax seed oil from health food stores and some grocery stores, but make sure it is kept refrigerated and keep a close eye on the expiration date. You can drink it straight or add it to smoothies if you don&#8217;t like the taste.</p>
<p>Ground flax seeds are another way to add this food to your diet. Whichever way you choose, be sure to not heat the flax as that destroys its beneficial properties. If you want the benefits of flax seed oil without the hassle you can purchase flax seed oil pills.</p>
<p><strong>A third food that can help you burn fat by adding fat to your diet is walnuts</strong>. Walnuts contain the healthy fats and are a good source of protein. Adding a handful of walnuts to your breakfast in the morning will ensure that you have the energy you need for your day. Keep walnuts in your desk at work to provide a healthy snack.</p>
<p>Replacing the saturated fat with these three foods will help you lose weight and be healthy. Although you can have them daily, be sure you are not relying too much on these foods and focus on a well balanced diet.</p>

For them, counting the amount of calories either from fats and foods is one effective way for the systematic elimination of weight increase.</p>
<p>The obesity epidemic in the U.S. is directly related to the fact that people are taking in too many calories. Because of this, nutrition experts advise that people keep a keen eye on food labels and check on the quantity of calories they get every now and then.</p>
<p>So how can counting calories help a person to lose weight? Does it actually prove to be an efficient approach to weight reduction when we are all aware that all of us need certain amount of fats and calories to fuel up our development and bodily functions?</p>
<p>Checking out food labels is an initial step to know the serving size of calories in foods. People are usually asked to multiply the number of calories to the number of servings that they are going to eat to know the exact quantity. By knowing this, an individual may better be guided if he is getting just the right amount of calories he needs or otherwise.</p>
<p>Calories from fats are the ones that should be watched for by people. Only a certain amount of calories from fats are advisable to avoid weight increase. This should be done by maintaining only the sufficient 30% of calories from fats that is needed by the body.</p>
<p><strong>Getting the right percentage requires a little of mathematics:</strong> divide the amount of calories from fats by total calories and then multiply by 100. These information bits are always available on the labels.</p>
<p>It&#8217;s been well documented that excess calories are directly responsible for weight gain. Eat more than your body requires for maintenance and you gain weight, eat less than your body requires and you lose weight. The basic assumption here is that excessive calories transform into fats and should be eliminated either by limiting the calorie intake or &#8220;working it off&#8221;.</p>
<p>It&#8217;s important to combine regular exercise with diet changes for a healthy weight loss program. Also, it is advised to eat frequent smaller meals than 3 large ones. This could turn excess calories into glucose rather than to fats.</p>
