Heartburn is the most common symptom of gastric diseases. People usually experience heartburn at least once in a week. A rare heartburn in common, but there are people who experience heartburn frequently. Heartburn is the common symptom of gastro esophageal reflux disease (GERD). Other symptoms include but are not limited to chest pain and sour taste of mouth.
If one is experiencing heartburn regularly he or she should consult the doctor immediately and take proper treatment. As this problem may result in some serious problems which also include some dangerous diseases like ulcer or cancer.
It is advised to have a natural cure for heartburn instead going on medication. Our ancestors have taught us some unique remedies for heartburn carried on from generation to generation. Heartburn may be caused by how much or what foods a person chooses to eat, what he or she chooses to drink and other lifestyle issues, but it can also be a symptom of more serious medical conditions.
A proper scheduled diet always helps to keep the digestion effective without any side effects. Foods and drinks usually trigger heartburn problems. Citrus fruits; Chocolate; Peppermint; Spearmint; Tomatoes; Raw onions are few examples of food stuffs which create heartburn.
Fennel Tea is the one of the natural cures for heartburn. Fennel seeds are easily available in the market or can also be ordered online. Fennel seeds are dropped in boiling water, which is the most popular remedy carried on from centuries to centuries. Smoking is not only injurious to health but also a great cause for heartburn. Nicotine is an ingredient in cigarettes that weakens the lower esophageal sphincter, a band of muscle at the end of the esophagus that closes off the esophagus and prevents the acidic stomach contents from entering the esophagus.
Peppermint is also traditionally used as a natural cure for heartburn, gas and indigestion. After a big meal, gas building up in your stomach can cause cramping. But, menthol relaxes the valve between the stomach and the esophagus, allowing trapped gas to escape upward as a welcome, pressure-relieving burp
There is no specific cure for heartburn. Still it can be reduced if one can carry on a peaceful mind and complete rest without any tensions. Apart from these regular workouts, yoga can help to reduce gastric and heart burn problems. The juice from the aloe Vera plant is another natural home remedy that is used to soothe an irritated esophagus. Patients suffering from heartburn should check the ingredients while taking herbs to prevent allergies through any of the ingredient.

Most people don’t know that the older they get the less stomach acid they produce. So many of us think that the heartburn or acid reflux disease we suffer from is caused by “excess stomach acid”.
In most cases, this is just not so.
Do you think you suffer from excess stomach acid, or from NOT ENOUGH stomach acid.
Try this experiment:
Put you normal medication on the table in front of you (just in case). Now, take a tablespoon of apple cider vinegar (preferably the organic variety), and wait for a few minutes.
The Logic: If you do not have enough stomach acid, then the apple cider vinegar should bring relief to your heartburn problems. If the apple cider vinegar causes your problem to be worse, then take your heartburn medication. At least you will know you suffer from excess stomach acid.
BUT, if you do not have enough stomach acid and then take medication to neutralize the acid you do have, all you are doing is making matters worse.
If you find that the apple cider vinegar does in fact relieve you from your “heartburn problems”, then start taking a tablespoon full before every meal.
I do! One bottle of organic apple cider vinegar only costs a few dollars and lasts me over one year.
As soon as I have a little flare up I just go to my fridge and take a teaspoon full. My heartburn goes away within a few minutes.
