One thing you have not mentioned is that a headache does not necessarily originate in the head. I suffered for over one month from a headache on the left side of my head. It ruined my sleep and sometimes the pain was so great I thought I had a brain tumor.

After going to the doctor, he asked me questions about how I slept, sat and how I used the computer. He had hundreds of patients like me all with the same “tension headache” caused by inflamed muscles on the side of my neck.

That’s all it was. He suggested I take an anti-inflammatory over-the-counter drug like “Roboxosol” or “ROBAX Platinum” and do some neck exercises to stretch and strengthen the neck muscles. It was also important to keep the neck warm, especially when outdoors during cold weather or during sleeping hours.

The thing with getting a tension headache caused by inflamed neck muscles, is that if you do not get it under control, the pain can persist for years. It can ruin everything for you.

Do a Google search for terms like – neck strain – cervical neck strain – muscle spasm – etc. along with some other additional terms like – treatment, exercises, etc.

If stretching and strengthening of your neck muscles are not helping to alleviate your headache, then get a note from your doctor to see a physio therapist.

What ever you do, do not just do nothing. Get it under control soon.
